QUESTION
Are Sugar alcohols permissible? If sorbitol is used in a cake is it permissible?
ANSWER
As the said alcohol is not made from date or grape extract and
nor is it intoxicating in a large or small quantity, thus in terms of its usage
and consumption, it is considered as permissible.
